DIY with Beeswax: Paw Protector

Paw protector wax is a pretty awesome gift to give those dog lovers in your life. Each ingredient has very beneficial properties such as the beeswax forms a protective barrier on your pets pads, and the coconut oil has anti bacterial properties. The Calendula oil heals and soothes cracked pads, while the  Avocado Oil moisturizes.

Ingredients:

• 3 oz beeswax
• 3 TBSP  Coconut Oil
• 3 TBSP Calendula Oil
• 3 TBSP Avocado Oil

Instructions:

1. In a small pot – or double boiler – over low heat melt the oils, shea butter, and beeswax. Stir continuously until all is melted and well blended.
2. Pour the mixture into lip balm tubes and/or tins.
3. Let them cool on the counter until hard.
4. Cap and label.
5. Keep away from extreme heat.
6. Use within 1-2 years.

Notes: For additional protective benefits add 20 drops of vitamin E oil.
